Had a great time at Balilla! Ghena and Carlo were super helpful, giving tips and even calling a taxi for us. The outdoor space on the 3rd floor with a view of ruins is perfect for evening relaxation. Just know it's a bit of a trek to the Colosseum!

missingWrote a review on Nov 24noise concerns
The location is less than ideal, situated in a neighborhood where homeless individuals were frequent, leading to safety concerns. The air conditioning was not functioning properly, leaving the room uncomfortably warm, especially on hot nights. Nighttime noise from the street made sleeping difficult, with screams and loud discussions heard clearly. The cleanliness standards missed the mark, with dirty floors and inadequate toiletries provided. Breakfast options were underwhelming for 8 euros, lacking variety and value. Additionally, the shower drainage was slow, creating a frustrating experience during use.

The hotel provided a convenient location, just a 10-15 minute stroll to the Metro station, making it easy to travel from Ciampino airport. My room was clean and comfortable, and the WiFi worked perfectly. I appreciated having a hairdryer available since it's not always a given. However, the owner displayed rudeness during my stay, which overshadowed some of the positive aspects. On one occasion, I overheard him arguing loudly with another guest, disturbing the peace at night. Furthermore, the towels had an unpleasant odor, which was disappointing. While the rooms are clean, they lack soundproofing, and noise from adjacent rooms could be clearly heard. Also, I was not impressed with the breakfast. spending 8 euros led to a meager selection.

great location but some issues with service
The location was excellent, only a 10-15 minute walk to the Metro station, making airport transfers simple. I found my room very comfortable and well-maintained with reliable WiFi. The presence of a hairdryer was a nice touch, as I often struggle to find one in hotels. Additionally, the rooftop terrace provided a lovely atmosphere for evening relaxation.
I did experience some tension with the owner, which affected the overall ambiance of my stay.
